Pricing Transparency
💸 What You’re Actually Paying For
A breakdown from your favorite overcaffeinated small biz owner.
One of the most common questions small business owners get is:
“Why does this cost more than [Temu / AliExpress / Big Chain Store]?”
And honestly? Valid. I’d wonder too. And I DID before I had my own.
So here’s what actually goes into the prices you see, because I hate gatekeeping, and you deserve to know where your money’s going.
💻 1. Shopify Shenanigans
Shopify does a goofy thing with currency conversions - sometimes adding $2–$3 to the price you see in non-AUD currencies.
This isn’t something I control. The AUD price stays the same, but Shopify fluctuates their conversions even when I don’t touch the listing.
To be clear: I don’t see that extra money. It just… vanishes into the void. I wish I could fix it.
🧾 2. Shopify Takes 23% of All Sales
Yup. Twenty-three percent.
Not of profit. Of total sales.
Why? Because I do a lot of preorders and international orders, Shopify sees that as “risky,” and they hold funds as insurance.
That 23% = fees, holdbacks, processing. It’s why my margins are tight. It’s also why you don’t see heaps of freebies in every order, and I can't afford to do many discounts - I already have the items as cheap as I can possibly make them in order to simply survive.
🧵 3. Quality > Fast Fashion
Could I use a cheaper manufacturer? Sure.
Could I make things for half the price? Yep.
Would they fall apart in 2 weeks and make me cry? Also yes.
I don’t want to make products that end up in landfill after one use. I use reinforced stitching, custom zippers, better fabrics, and small ethical factories - which means each piece costs more to make, but lasts way longer.
Fast fashion pricing = fast fashion quality. I won’t do that to you. Or the planet.
📦 4. Small Business = Higher Costs
Unlike big brands, I can’t order 10,000 units for $1 each.
My minimums are usually 100–1000 units, and I don’t get bulk discounts like Target or JYP Shop. That means:
- Higher cost per item
- Warehousing fees to store stock
- Packaging, printers, ink, loyalty cards, custom freebies
- Customs, freight, B-grade replacements, damaged stock
- Paying platforms like Shopify $12+ per app just to run international features
- $5000+ to AusPost annually just to lower your shipping costs
Every little detail adds up, and most small shops don’t even pay themselves a wage for months.
🧵 5. Labor, Time & Creative Energy
Let’s break it down:
✔ Designing, testing, refining
✔ Product photography & content
✔ Managing preorders & timelines
✔ Packing every order by hand in my little Staytion
✔ Answering every email, DM, and customer support message
✔ Doing all this while running on iced almond lattes and sheer willpower
There’s no team. No intern. Just me- and a spreadsheet that’s probably crying.
🛑 PS: Even Cancelled Orders Cost Me
If you cancel, the platform still keeps its cut.
That’s why preorder items have a small non-refundable deposit - not to be mean, but to stop me from losing money when plans change.

Pre-Order FAQ's

What happens if I change my address after placing a pre-order?
If your address changes before your order ships, please contact me at hello@seoulsessionsco.com as soon as possible. I can update your shipping details if notified before your item is shipped. If you are unsure of your address at the date (e.g., an unexpected move), please let me know, and I will leave a note on your order to wait until you have confirmed your address.
Will my pre-order be shipped separately if I order other items?
All items in your order will be shipped together once the preorder item arrives at the warehouse. If you’d like to receive in-stock items sooner, or items with a shorter preorder window, please place them in a separate order.
Am I only able to get a bag during preorder? Do you do Instocks?
Unfortunately if I do instocks, they will only be a very small number (either to meet a certain level MOQ, or to cover a percentage of items in case of them being lost in transit etc.) As I do not have enough space in my warehouse to keep them. These instocks (if any) will only be available once all items are fully delivered with no issues.
Can I cancel my pre-order if I change my mind?
Totally understandable, sometimes plans change! You can cancel your preorder, but please note that each preorder includes a small deposit to cover Shopify’s payment fees. These fees aren’t refunded to me if an order is canceled, which means a cancellation becomes an added cost on top of already low margins.
Because I don’t order extra stock beyond what’s needed, cancellations are only possible before your item has been ordered from the manufacturer. Once production begins, the item has already been paid for and I can’t issue a refund.

Will I get updates on my preorder status?
Yes! I'll keep you updated at every step: when production is complete, when your bag is packed, and when it’s on its way, as well as any changes that may occur. Make sure to check your spam, and check emails for any updates. I will also post on socials when emails have gone out for updates aswell, but I won't necessarily fill up the feed with the updates themselves, so please check emails.
What happens if there are production or shipping delays?
I will notify everyone immediately if there are any delays and work to resolve them quickly. Regardless, any bags that are bought between July and August will be with everyone before Christmas. (October/November dispatch for most items)
Why are preorders limited in quantity?
I've limited preorders to ensure the highest quality and timely fulfillment. These bags are complex and will need to be quality checked by myself, and then also packed and dispatched. My warehouse is small and can only handle so much, so limiting them helps keep me sane.
Can I combine multiple preorders into one shipment to save on shipping?
You can! Please note though, that your order will only be dispatched once the latest preorder has arrived.
Will I be charged immediately or when the order ships?
You will be charged at the time of placing your preorder to secure your bag. This helps me prepare your order and avoid overselling.
General FAQ's
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I ship worldwide. However, please note that some international customers may be responsible for customs fees or import taxes. With the changing tarrifs in America, if the De Minimus rule has been removed entirely even for Australia by the time the bags are dispatched, this does mean that you will need to pay whatever Tarrif the administration has deemed payable. Unfortunately I am not sure of what these will be ahead of time, so I cannot prepare for them at checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
The Payment system accepts all major credit cards, PayPal, Applepay and Shop Pay.
How do I update my shipping address if I entered it wrong?
Please just contact us via the contact page and I can amend that for you :)
Do you restock soldout items?
Some popular items may be restocked. If demand is high, I'll work to ensure limited items don’t stay sold out for long. However I may still have to keep limits on as to not drown myself in orders.
Do you only make Stray Kids items?
I am focusing on Stray Kids for now, as I have many ideas that aren't out there yet, and will be expanding to other bands. The Gummy bears have been highly requested for Ateez, and I do have it on my list, and the All Rounder panels will have different band options later on :)

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Delivery times vary based on location*
For Instock items, please allow me up to a week to be able to dispatch these depending on how busy any given period may be. I do dispatch from Australia, and we have pretty consistent delivery timings, but please note that all packages can always end up delayed or at customs a little longer than the usual.

Can I track my order?
Yes! You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If you notice tracking issues, contact me immediately, and I will get it sorted.
Do you do free shipping?
I have a business partnership with Australia Post that offers highly discounted shipping for domestic and international orders. At this current point in time, I am still a very small business with large overheads, and make a small profit margin that cannot take the added cost of shipping. If I do grow, this is something I would love to offer, but at the current moment I am unable to.
Giveaway FAQ
How do I enter the giveaway?
There are two ways to enter the giveaway, and I have two Skzoo teddies to give.
One way is via the post on Instagram and Threads (Only one comment per), and to tag a friend as well as follow the social page.
This option doesn't cost you anything, but has a much lower chance of winning a teddy.
Option two is to order any one of the new bags on the website. Please note that I will need your SKZOO preference in the checkout notes.
One winner will be chosen out of each pool (Socials or Website) shortly after the preorder period has ended. You can enter in both pools for a bigger chance to win.
How are winners chosen?
Winners are selected randomly using a verified entry tracking tool (like a spreadsheet + random number generator). Each valid entry counts!
When will winners be announced?
Orders via the website will be announced via email update, so make sure you're signed up and check spam!
Socials will be announced via Instagram Story, and tagged.
For the website and Socials, I will ask that the winners claim their SKZOO within 48 hours, or it will move to a runner up.
Is this international?
Yes! I ship worldwide 🌍 However please note that these are the only teddies I have in stock, and if they are lost in transit or held by customs, there is very little I can do.
I entered but didn’t win, will there be more chances?
I run giveaways throughout the year, especially during big drops and anniversaries. That being said, they won't always be a Teddy Skzoo. I do have plenty of items from the 5'oclock merch and Donut Skzoo launch that are intended for giveways, so stay tuned and follow for more 💫
Can I exchange the prize or choose my bias?
You will be asked for your preference of Skzoo teddy or item at checkout and within the comments of the Social Post.
Otherwise, prizes are as listed and cannot be swapped or exchanged for another item.
Please note: Orders cannot be cancelled due to not winning a giveaway. Additionally, any return requests for orders that included a giveaway entry item will only be accepted if the giveaway item is also returned in its original condition. This policy is in place to protect against misuse and ensure fairness for everyone.
